Waterlogic dispensers have the outside covered as well as the inside. Plastic surfaces surrounding dispensing areas of Waterlogic units are infused with a silver additive called BioCote®. Silver is a natural antimicrobial that inhibits the growth of microorganisms, providing additional surface protection from microbes which may colonise, degrade and stain the unit’s surface.
BioCote protected products are not only proven but also undergo continuous quality control testing to ISO 22196 at an independent laboratory. Test results for Waterlogic’s POU dispensers have demonstrated reduction by >99.9% against microbes that can cause degradation or deterioration of the product surfaces. Waterlogic utilises the BioCote brand as a guarantee of superior antimicrobial product protection.
The scientists at BioCote live testing have measured and compared the number of bacteria in two classrooms in the same primary school. This was a world first as never before had an antimicrobial classroom been put under the microscope. The objective was to see how well BioCote antimicrobial protection performs in the classroom environment in terms of banishing bacteria and protecting children from microbes.
The results were a difference in total bacterial counts between the classrooms at an impressive level of 96.79% for the Waterlogic water dispenser featuring BioCote compared to the standard non-BioCote water dispenser in the unprotected room. BioCote really is the top of the class!
BioCote does not protect users against disease causing bacteria, germs, viruses or other harmful organisms. Always clean the product thoroughly after each use. This technology is not a substitute for good hygiene and/or cleaning practices.
